There's not much left to be said about Barcelona. Like a trusty village bike, she's accommodated almost every skateboarder I know, and many more that I don't. She's been in all the magazines, all the skate tours. Yeah, she's cheap and easy, drunk and a bit smelly, and I can't help but wonder if she was abused as a child. But though I'd probably never commit my life to her, and I'd think twice before introducing her to me mam, I can't help going back from time to time for another go. She's as beautiful as ever, and I know it's guaranteed to be fun. She'll always hold a special place in my heart. At the end of last summer, she once again welcomed me back with open arms, cheap beer, sunny blue skies, and like always, plenty of skateboarding.

My Spanish is a little rusty, but I'm pretty sure this guy was flirting with a woman hanging her washing out of a third floor balcony. I think he was trying to get her to come out and play! |

*** Technical Note - don't forget to check that your point-and-shoot camera is in RAW mode before going on holiday. Colour correcting auto white balanced jpgs in Photoshop is not fun. ***
